Make Sweet Potato Taro
This is my first time to make sweet potato taro, and I think it’s quite successful. On 3/6, my friend and I were done with classes; but, it still had lots of time before eating dinner. Thus, we decided to do something special. She proposed to make sweet potato taro at her home. So we went to the supermarket to buy our ingredients. I considered that we should buy lots of stuff, but it turned out that there were not so many goods we needed to prepare for. All we needed were sweet potatoes, potato starch and brown sugar. After we arrived to her home, we started to make our snacks.
Cook Notes
First step:
To make the delicious sweet potato taro, the first step is to steam the sweet potato, to peel the skin of sweet potato and to press it into the mud.

Third step:
Then cut it into small pieces, put them into the hot water and cook it. When boiling the sweet potato taro, slightly stir them so that they aren’t stick to the bottom of the pot.
(Before putting sweet potato taro into water, I have to slightly knead it to make sure its shape is well.)

Second step:
The second step is to add potato starch and water into mashed sweet potato, and then mix it into dough.

Fourth step:
Wait the balls float on the surface, and then put them into cold water to cool them down. Scoop up sweet potato taro into a bowl and finally toss them with some brown sugar.

After finishing those steps, we could eventually enjoy our delicious sweet potato taro. The taste of sweet potato taro was quite chewy; in addition, I could taste the aroma of sweet potato inside the sweet potato taro. Making our own sweet potato taro only costed us 40 minutes. My friend and I could enjoy the yummy sweet potato taro and also had lots of fun. However, only eating sweet potato taro was not enough, we also matched them with milk tea. Besides, there are numerous choices to match them, such as red bean soup, eight treasure congee and so on. After finishing our snack, there was no appetite to eat our dinner. Therefore, we kept staying at her home, and watching her favorite Kpop “Seventeen”. We really had a wonderful time.
